Aldeburgh members had a very successful week at the South East Links Championship played at Royal Cinque Ports, Deal & Royal St. George’s, Sandwich.
Congratulations to Gregor Tait on an exceptional winning score of 275, eight strokes clear of a very strong field. His name will join Jack Nicklaus and several other top players on the honours board at Royal St. George’s.
Congratulations also to Patrick Spraggs who finished 5th and Monty Scowsill 10th.

All three players then played in a winning Suffolk team against Cambridgeshire on Sunday – with Reuben Harvey & Harry Brinded making their 1st team debuts, there were 5 Aldeburgh members in the team.
Gregor, Patrick & Harry, along with Callum Pearce, are playing the semi-finals and final of the Wood Family Challenge Cup for the Club’s Scratch Match Play Championship on Sunday 25th September for those interested in watching top amateur golf being played at Aldeburgh.
