This hole plays longer than its 429 yards, as it climbs gently uphill to the green. It is a tough par four for gentlemen and a par five for the ladies. The centre of the fairway from the tee gives the best line to the green but if your accuracy isn’t quite there, it’s better to be on the right than left. The shorter hitter will need to watch out for the hidden bunker to the left and longer players will have to avoid the swales and light rough to the back of the hole. Anything right is likely to end in the front bunker. The bank up to the green requires the approach shot to be precisely judged.
